Maria qualified in 2003 at the University of Brighton with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and went on to work at several NHS Trusts before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and moving into private practice. She has a wealth of experience in treating a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions in both the NHS and private settings and has worked with numerous specialists Consultants and a NationalLeague football club.
Maria has a special interest in persistent / chronic pain and breathing disorders but also offers expert assessment and treatment for other musculoskeletal conditions.She uses a variety of rehabilitation and treatment techniques, including traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) also known as dry needling. As a qualified Menopause Movement specialist she also enjoys working with women who are perimenopausal/menopausal to improve their minds and bodies. Overall Maria is passionate about delivering a holistic approach to patient care and working together with them to help them understand their source of symptoms and encourage them to take an active role in their recovery.
Maria also speaks Spanish. She is married with two children and a dog. In my spare time apart from dog walking, she also likes to travel, cook, practise yoga and go to the gym.
